& Prudence
I believe a collaborative therapeutic relationship is the foundation of counselling. I describe my style as creative and experiential in nature. Creativity and Play are powerful agents in the therapeutic process. My goal is to get to know you or your child and find the approach that fits best! I strive to create a safe therapeutic space for each person that enters my room, physically or virtually.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with Mental Health Service Provider designation in Tennessee. I am born and raised here in Knoxville. My journey to becoming a counselor began in high school while taking an introduction to Psychology course. I majored in Psychology at Maryville College, earning my Bachelor of Arts degree in December 2013. I continued my education earning my Master of Science degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in August 2016. I have served as a professional counselor across East Tennessee since, working with children, individuals, and families. I am currently a Doctoral Candidate at UTK for Counselor Education & Supervision researching childhood ACEs within professional counselors - more to come on this topic!
Childhood trauma and adversity (ACEs) and intergenerational trauma are focal to my clinical work. I also have a passion for working with Neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ youth, families, and young adults. I strive to create inclusively, affirming mental health care requiring updated research and training to promote best-practice.
And, Prudence is my 10-year-old rescue pup turned therapy dog! She makes her way to the office from time to time. Hopefully she will meet you!

Services
Individual Therapy
55 minute individual meeting addressing concerns related to you or your adolescent.
Hourly Rate: $150
Family Therapy
50 minute family session with the client present or without the client present for parenting consultations and education.
Hourly Rate: $165
Play Therapy
45-50 minute session with the child and 5-10 minute consult with parents before and/or after. Play therapy is the evidenced-based treatment for children. It can also be utilized across the lifespan for childhood trauma.
